1. Wrapping a wet tea towl round my neck and my office chair getting so hot that standing up is a joy. Also, Oli's successful mission not to complain about the heat all day.
2. Bosses who bring ice lollies.
3. Being told that good things are happening in this life because I've been generous in a past life. This is a lovely thought that underlines the idea that when you do good for other people you are doing good for yourself too.
Yum....What kind of ice lollies? I like the fruit pastille ones best :-)
ReplyDeleteThis was a good tip from a friend that I recently learned:
ReplyDeletePut the towel in the freezer first - run it under water, wring it out, and form it into a horseshoe shape. You might look silly with a stiff towel around your neck, but it really is the next best thing to air conditioning, and stays cool for a pretty long time (I try to keep two in the freezer during hot days, so there will always be one to trade off with. They freeze really fast, too.)
Oh, iced - yes, what flavors? I just got a pack of assorted fruit and cremes.
ReplyDelete4. Licking the melting juice off your fingers.
It was a red Solero (that's ice lolly round icecream) -- tasted and felt delicious. I like Mini-milks a lot, too, and the Mr Men lollies.
ReplyDeleteI was surprised at how long my tea towl stayed cool. We've got air con now -- such a relief.
