Family day, harvest and resemblance.

1. We have the day to ourselves.

2. To pick and eat the first of our strawberries (it tastes very good).

3. Watching an episode of Father Ted, it occurs to me that some of Bettany's newborn expressions look like Father Dougal. I'm not sure that I didn't make the same comparison when Alec was tiny.

    There are moments, I'm afraid, when Alec reminds us of Father Jack. Particularly when he bellows 'Bubs!' at an inopportune time.
