First issue, on the floor and what we're missing.

1. There is one copy of the first issue of our magazine in the office -- it's amazing to see it in real life for the first time.

2. I come home to find my mother and Alec playing together on the floor.

3. We talk about the Alec things that we miss while we're at work. "His smell." "The weight of him." "Stroking his hair." "Rubbing his cheek against mine." "His hands plapping me on the cheek."

  1. "Plapping" is a very excellent word. I'm going to try to use it.

  2. It's a bit like slapping really, but without the violent intent. When I pick him up, he tends to look me straight in the eye and plap my cheeks with both hands.

He also uses his free hand to plap my chest while I'm feeding him -- I think it makes the milk come faster!
