French toast, quick and hollandaise.

1. Sweet and salty together: French toast and very crisp bacon.

2. How quick and easy it is to bake bought meatballs into bought tomato sauce and serve it with spaghetti.

3. The instructions on the hollandaise sauce pot make me laugh: "Usually served warm, rather than piping hot".

  1. George, our 20 year old son, still at home, but leaving soon, discovered that porridge and crispy bacon go well together! I was dubious, but it really worked. I love salted caramel chocolate and also the ice cream with that combination of sweet and salty.

  2. My sister in New Zealand gave us bacon with maple syrup on it - divine! Haven't had it since though, don't know why not, perhaps now's the time to do so.
