Moving, compliment and home.
1. Compassionate removal men who work quickly to get my boxes and bundles into the van and out of the rain.
2. My mother appears bearing treats. Later, watching Nick pack a bed into her car she comments: 'He's nice and careful, isn't he.'
3. A corner of the kitchen is well-padded with books; my bed is put back together and suddenly this strange place looks like home.

I read about your blog in a book named Enough, by John Naish. I love what you do and wish you well. Your idea is one of three beautiful things in my day: the other two: Enjoying a ride with my teenage son who was so full-of-beans to be in the car we'd hired that he couldn't stop enthusing and chatting. And being able to sit and read with my special cat on my lap in the quiet of the late afternoon, cup of tea at my elbow.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your move! Sounds like it all went well. Can't wait to see you both and hear all about it :-)

ReplyDeleteThanks!
Um, but, why is your bed set up?
ReplyDeleteJoe -- it was moved in pieces, and had to be put back together again.
