Blueberry cake, come home and unseasonable.

1. She brings half a cake. A thunderhead of blueberries masses in the cut edge.

2. We think of our men coming home, and the party scatters into the evening.

3. Unexpectedly warm evening in October half term. Teenagers sit cross-legged in huddled rings on street corners.

  1. I love the blueberries being a thunderhead - have no idea what that is but if ever something should be it- it's as you describe.

Also to add that when making a ham sandwich - I now always think resilient - which was your perfect summation of it a while back...
