Croquet, victory and chores.

1. Hearing an odd thwocking sound in the park, and then coming up out of the sunken garden and seeing a croquet match being played on the bowling green.

2. Winning convincingly at backgamon.

3. Having the washing up done for me -- cheers Andy.

  1. Thunking sounds of all sorts are to remind us that we are not alone, even when we think we are. Aren't you glad you don't have to choose which is more pleasant, your confident maneuvers succeeding, or being pleasantly surprised by someone's thoughtfulness?

  2. Thought I'd let you know my 3BTs every day :-
the sleeping faces of my two daughters first thing in the morning , the sky from my office - the masses of clouds are impossibly beautiful in all their avatars ; the voices of children at play every afternoon which carries over to my fourth floor office and makes me ache to go back home AT ONCE !

  3. I love your blog, it reminds me a lot of beautiful things sometimes we forget. Thanks!
I've linked it to my blog.

  4. Hi Clare, I just found your blog and I love what it's all about. It really is the "little" everyday things that make life sweet.

  5. thwocking -- what an excellent word!

  6. Clare
I'm missing your contributions at my Word Imperfect blog. Was it something I said?
