Twinkle, convenience food and gravy.

1. One of my favourite Christmas-is-coming sights -- a council man in a cherrypicker carefully winding a string of lights round the small branches of the lime trees on the Pantiles.

2. Apples -- because I can eat them while I'm typing or reading without worrying about stickiness.

3. Sherry in a beef stew. Beef gravy and sherry are made for each other.

  1. We have "Christmas dressed" trees in the shopping areas here in town now, and it certainly brightens up the dark winter evenings, doesn't it?

    Apples... mmmmmmm.

  3. Ah, yes, Sherry and beef. And here I was just wondering what to dream up for one of this weeks Gourmet posts. I almost feel like shooting over to Tesco for some Steak, some onions, mushrooms and a bottle....

  4. Do let us know more about the twinkle trees, please.(If you can, with pics?) I get to decorate Irving's City Hall, where I'm a Park Sign Tech, every year and love to see other Townships and City's decorations. I adore my job this time of the year.
