Bright eyes, sling papa and rosemary.

1. "You can tell by their eyes," says the health visitor. "Look how bright and shiny they are. Look how nosey he is." Then to Alec: "Are you flirting with me?" To me again: "These graphs are based on bottle-fed babies, you know." Which I didn't, and I was glad to be told this. I'd been slightly worried that Alec's line was so far down.

2. I'm not sure about the new sling -- but Nick tries it and declares himself pleased because he can sit down while wearing it, which he couldn't with the Baby Bjorn.

3. Chopping homegrown fresh rosemary -- the nettle-sharp scent settles on the board.

  1. It is an odd thing being a parent sometimes - the first few years you are worried they aren't putting enough weight on and then they get to school age and you are worried they eat too much and will be one of those childhood obeseity statistics lol

  2. It's so much fun to hear the fun you are having with your little guy. And don't you just love how rosemary smells? Just passing your hand across a branch brings that wonderful aroma. When we were in Portland, OR one year, we went to a restaurant that had rosemary HEDGES, about five feet tall!

  3. Not just bottle-fed babies, but American babies fed formula - you know, all those obese people they show on TV? Most adults aged 30+ were not breastfed, so they are not role models you want to measure your baby against!

You are doing a wonderful job - I love hearing how Alec is growing :)
