Abandoned, dogs and hack.

1. Birds nests in winter trees.

2. Bill's dogs Gwen and Sweep. Gwen is small and wriggly; Sweep is more sedate and coming up for retirement. He waits patiently when Bill goes out of sight, but Gwen runs around looking for him.
