Coffee pot, wolf and wallpaper.

1. He-who-shall-not-be-named producing a pot of real coffee as if by magic.

2. There is a small boy in the lobby of the supermarket. He has his hand in the letterbox and is muttering to himself 'I'm stuck, I'm stuck.' 'Are you all right there? Are you stu... I see -- you're just pretending.' Phew.

3. Fenella's desktop wallpaper is a picture of Andy trying to conceal himself with a newspaper while chasing her out of the bathroom.

  1. My 3 beautiful things for the last 4 days:

    1. Secrets finally out in the open, allowing stress to dissipate.

    2. Letting your hair down & really throwing yourself into dancing (a lot of martini & sambuca helps with this, I found).

    3. Dancing with a man who really knows how to lead a lady round the dance floor.

    4. Watching your brother with tears of happiness in his eyes as he marries his sweetheart.

  2. I'm not sure if it works this way, but I'm publicly going to ask the Universe for a very specific beautiful thing...

I was intent on buying an iBook that I found from a specific dealer (it was a really good deal) and it turns out they've just sold out, and I'm very disappointed. I'd like the Universe to deliver me an even better deal - cheaper, more souped up. Or at least something just as good.

    We'll see if this works.....

  3. Keep us posted, Christine. Anyone else want to publicly ask the Universe for a specific Beautiful Thing?

  4. A very very Gwen Stefani red lipstick.

My polite but heartfelt request for the Universe: Please oh please can you deliver the right house up for sale in T Wells in the next two weeks. Two beds, with a garden, on the right side of town.

  6. 4. Having on hand a newspaper large enough to block woman with camera. (it was large enough, wasn't it?)

  7. It worked! I went to the store, on a lark, to see if they had any left. (I'd read that they'd sold out on the store's website.) They had one! Thanks, Universe!

  8. Christine -- wow! That's so cool. In that case, I'm going to join Katie's humble plea. Universe, we would very much like a quiet house or flat with two-and-a-half bedrooms, a small garden and one parking space to come on the market somewhere within striking distance of Tunbridge Wells Station and a place where I can get a lift to work.

  9. Tristan -- hmmm... I'm not sure the world will ever be ready.

Joeinvegas -- it was more than adequate.
