  1. Tangerine skins, if that is the generic name of those sorts of citrus have a most seductive smell, even, perhaps especially, when dried. Try drying a piece of tangerine skin. I can't remember where I read, perhaps in a Chinese novel, of a chinese woman who possessed a small box which contained a piece of dried tangerine skin, which her mother had kept as a flavouring for her cooking.
