White hart, naughty dogs and siblings.
The comments are still coming -- thank you everyone.
1. Louise wakes me at 7am to peer out of her bathroom window at a white hart standing the end of the field. If I hadn't been so sleepy, we might have followed it through the woods to an adventure with knights and pavillions and jousting and falcons.
2. Hearing that Louise's naughty little dog Minty has recently been in a bit of trouble for burying her bone upstairs under the pillow of the spare bed.
3. My brother's latest scheme to get a mention in Three Beautiful Things. He asked our sister Rosey if she would tell me that he had died -- which, he thought, might earn him a special tribute -- and then a few days later, tell me that he had miraculously survived -- which I would consider a beautiful thing, too, apparently. But just to show him, the beautiful thing about all this was Rose phoning me for a chat, during which she brought this up.

Three beautiful things is a wonderful idea.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Clare,
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely and oh so useful idea!
Always keep your chin up,
Irene
So wonderful an idea.
ReplyDeleteI think I should start a TWEET session myself! (Three Wonderful Exception Experiential Things)
Hee hee!
Thank you for sharing with us your wonderful happenings!
Hi wow this is a really nice blog! I think I will be coming back here a lot. You're doing a great job! It's a cool idea for a blog.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on being a Blog of Note. :)
ReplyDeleteI applaud what you're doing. It's lovely to be thankful for all the blessings we've got. Much better than complaining about the other things anyway.
And yeah, naughty dogs/turtles/cats are also one of the things that make us happy in my house. :) Take care!
Hi,
ReplyDeleteThis is so fantastic.. so often we are just so drawn to the negative, but this is really just being thankful of the many good things that has happened and we just missed it!
Great stuff!
Why not apply for the GOogle adsense, have your blogs some ads which will relate to your topics. You will definitely earn some revenue from writing those sweet and beautiful things everyday. This is just my advice, just ignore if you don't want. Anyway, You deserve all the compliments for making this blog full of pretty and genuine ideas. Keep it up Ms. Clare! God Bless you.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely blog. And I can just imagine one of my brothers trying to do that.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations and many raisings of toasts with pink champagne (sic) - you have a great blog -
ReplyDeleteI've been a little down lately, and this is the inspiration I need today to pick myself up. Thanks and I'm absolutely blogrolling you.
ReplyDeleteClare:
ReplyDeleteVery very nice!
Congratulations!

Love the whole premise of your blog. Excellent! Nice writing and site design too. What is a Hart? As a mom of a 3 year old who does not like to sleep much I am often too bleary eyed to articulate TBTs and then she laughs and it's all worth it. TBTs is definitely Blog of Note worthy and much more.
ReplyDeletei'll blog u everyday! u really inspired me and i decide to write down three beautiful things of my life since now on. Life's becoming more optimistic once i start looking for beauty. =)
ReplyDeleteThank you!

simply wonderful. Just the fact that you CAN think of three beautiful things a day in the kind of world we live in, is inspiring in itself!
ReplyDeleteKeep going on :)
I like the idea of 3 beautiful things, and in the spirit of your blog I think I will try it today, keep it up!

I've added a "What Made Me Laugh" component to my blog, a direct result (with a slight twist) of your inspiring concept.
ReplyDeleteMy brother often tops my list of What Made Me Laugh; I can see that yours would as well!
Have a Beautiful day.
I love this...great idea. I think I might try something like this on mine...it is much to easy to wax pessimistic.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Congratulations on being a Blog of Note! It's lovely to see something so positive out here. As my blog has here lately been a bit murky, I added my own Three Beautiful Things on Friday. I think I might do like once a week from now on. Peace to you.
ReplyDeleteLovely blog! I like it for two reasons:
ReplyDelete1.) It's a sort of sunny spot in the blogosphere, to celebrate life and optimism.
2.) It's from England, a place I never tire of learning about!
Nice work - I'll post a link on my blog. Feel free to stop by anytime!
Like it!
ReplyDeleteMy beautiful thing today is one of the notice screens at Cannon Street station (in London) which had gone a bit screwy and the list of stations was like the opening scrolling text on Star Wars.
ReplyDeleteLOL...the belly laugh I enjoyed from #3 was one big, beautiful thing for me today. Congrats...your blog is lovely.
ReplyDeleteStumbled accross your blog for the first time.
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful idea but also your posts seem so consistently inspiring.
Definitely an instant fan.
Congratulations on your Blog of Note status !
This is my first visit, but it won't be my last.
ReplyDeleteYou inspire, you amuse, you brighten up my day, and you reminded me to be thankful. You write beautifully.
With a big smile on my face.... keep writing!
I like the idea of this. We should all pass it along and think of 3BTs we have, and then everyone can always have 3BTs!
ReplyDeleteFalala, we shall pass on a tradition.
~Rayla
ha-HA! take THAT, Clare's brother! who made it to the 3BT, now, eh?
ReplyDelete... dogs hiding things under pillows are always cute, so long as the thing being hidden hasn't been recently dispatched to the afterlife!
Wow!! What a wonderful blog! I have added you to my list of daily must-reads.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
You got a great blog going on keep up all the good work Keep on rocking.
ReplyDeleteClare,
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big visitor of other people's blogs, but your positive title caught my eye in the "Blogs of Note".
I like your blog and what you're achieving. I won't say trying to achieve, because you are opening people's eyes to the truth that there are so many wonderful aspects to life that go unappreciated.
Today I bought cheeseburgers for homeless people and I came to realize that it is very easy to brighten up someone else's life. It only takes a kind compliment, a hug or maybe an act of generosity. You are doing this every day with your blog, and I congratulate you.
I will revisit your blog when often because I know it will inspire me on a day I need inspiration.
Thankyou and keep writing. The pressure will be on, now that your audience is probably ten times larger.
M.
your veiw is very interesting i'm actually glad i read this
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the "of Note" achievement! Enjoy your blog...keep up the good work! Have also linked to you...would like the six people who read my blog to read yours, too!
ReplyDeleteGood blog and posts. Thanks

Dear Clare,
ReplyDeleteI came across your blog after it was featured on the Blogger homepage. I really like the writing, and I like the idea of writing about 3 happy things a day, and wish I had thought of it... then again, I use my blog as a kind of drainage for the harder things in my life (though also some very happy times/moments) that enables me to upload and continue.
I would love for you to have a look and comment, if you feel like. It's notperfectatall.blogspot.com

Your brother sounds like a funny guy!! ..and your way of implementing it into 3BT was clever.
