Going in, buddleia and Bob.

1. As we get closer to Alec's new school, we see more and more boys of about his size, also making their way to the taster day.

2. The scent of buddleia falls on to us from above.

3. I slip Bob's body into the compost heap. Back to the earth from which you grew. We'll miss you in our kitchen, patiently waiting for daylight, and on warm days sunning yourself in the garden.
