Spray, cordial and no alternative.

1. The sound of a dog shaking itself dry, and the rainbows from the spray coming off its coat.

2. Drinking elderflower cordial with borage flowers floating in it.

3. Lying in the shade with a book because it is too hot to do anything else.

  1. The shade is fantastic. I hear you. Can't get enough shade.
It's annoying (for those around me)- I spend all winter bitching about the cold and wishing for sunny weather and when it arrives I hate it and long for shady patches and air conditioning. Such is life.

  3. I have added you to my links page. I have as yet only just started blogging after many a false start. You inspired me to give it a go. Thanks Mark. http://grumpyolddog.blogspot.com/, http://markbonhomme.blogspot.com/

  4. Hi Mark,

Good luck with the blogs. Glad to have been an inspiration. It's surprisingly easy once you get going. Hope writing grumpy thoughts doesn't make you too cross, though... It must be very cathartic, which can't be too bad for you.

And perhaps you could try to think of ways to be grumpy about things you actually really like. That would be good writing practice, a bit like my days when I really have to scrape the barrel and write beautiful things about stuff I hate.

    Kind regards
