1. John P making kissy noises at his cat to try and get it to come in out of the rain.
2. The miraculous greenness in the woods and hedges. Leaves seem to have suddenly unfurled over the weekend.
3. A pair of mallard ducks -- one male, one female -- going for a stroll in the field.
Sitting down in the sun on the bench by the pond, and the golden retriever getting up on the bench next to you and sitting quietly in silent companionship.

Do English ducks stroll? The ones in Australia tend to waddle, must be something to do with the hemisphere.
ReplyDeleteThe grass in the field is getting quite lush and long because it's May. I think that it was the length of the grass that made them stroll rather than waddle, Peta.
ReplyDeleteOr perhaps they were waddling, but they were going for a stroll too, and I couldn't think of an elegant way to explain it without resorting to an invented word like stroddle.
